Programs

Open Shooting
Open shooting is offered on Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings (see Hours and Calendar). Range closures due to weather are at the discretion of the park district range manager.

Instructional Programs
Through the years, in cooperation with the Naperville Park District, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, NRA, Boy Scouts, and others, the Naperville Sportsman’s Club have presented a number of instructional classes and programs. Some, like the Naperville Park District’s Trap Fundamentals, have included shooting. Others, like the IL DNR Hunter Safety classes, while covering and stressing firearm safety, have not had a shooting component.

Trapshooting Fundamentals
Each year we offer a series of basic shotgun instruction classes sponsored by the Naperville Park District.  These classes are available for both residents and non-residents of the district.
Registration is handled by the Naperville Park District. To Register for upcoming classes, click here.
