Costs

Sportsman’s Park is supported by the volunteer efforts of the Naperville Sportsman’s Club and the tax dollars of Naperville residents. As a Naperville Park District facility, the cost for shooting at the range is dependent upon whether you live within the boundaries of the Naperville Park District (resident), or outside of the Park District boundaries (non-resident). We do not charge any type of entry-fee and you do not have to be a member of the Naperville Sportsman’s Club to shoot.

You are responsible for providing your own firearm, an acceptable and functional shotgun suitable for trap shooting.

Steel shotshell ammunition is required at Sportsman’s Park and is available for purchase on site. Any shells not purchased at Sportsman’s Park must be inspected by the Range Officer on duty before proceeding to the trap fields. Top-quality shotshells from Winchester, Federal, Fiocchi, and Rio are sold, based on manufacturer’s availability.  Both 12-gauge and 20-gauge shotshells are stocked as available. Targets are nontoxic and biodegradable. You cannot supply your own targets.

Naperville Sportsman’s Club members are entitled to a discount on trap fees. See the Membership section for more information.

Eye and ear protection are required of everyone on the range.  Naperville Park District has over-the-ear hearing protection and safety glasses available in the clubhouse for use, as well as foam in-ear hearing protection available for sale at a nominal charge.
